Therapalant a CT based company who has partner operations in Phoenix AZ under a sister site called Tru Harvest has decided to scale their existing solventless extraction production. Currently they fulfill orders for a brand called Shango AZ and to meet the growing demand of solventless extracted products in the Arizona market.
The current solventless extraction operation on site was a very small scale semi automated type set up utilizing five plastic washing machines that gave the customer around 8,000 to 10,000 grams a day of fresh frozen thru put.
Introduction of the Hashatron 50 gallon craft series with integrated pre chill system allowed this customer to process their normal daily thruput of 8,000 to 10,000 grams in one wash cycle with no loss of product quality. In addition to higher thruputs the customer has reduced their ice consumption to zero. By using water that is pre chilled to freezing temperatures & jacketed vessels the operator is able to replace the need to add ice to the wash process. For every pound of ice introduced to a wash it displaces a pound of product that can be added to the was vessel. By removing ice from the wash process thruputs increase, risk of contaminations from ice is eliminated as well as reduced labor for operators.
Hashatron performed an onsite start up of all equipment supplied as well as performed training to all lab staff. The system was installed in less than one day upon delivery and training of the operators consisted of washing one run of fresh frozen as well as one run of dry cured flower.
We are excited to be a part of this project and adding in scaling solventless extraction in the Arizona market. Currently this is our 30th project and furthest west from our home base of Durham CT. We look forward to continuing to diversify and expand our projects thru the country over the next year with this companies sister site in Connecticut in early December.
