In 2023 Connecticut became a recreational use cannabis state and one of the new license holders was a group called CT Social equity. Prior to obtaining this license the owners of the group reached out to Hashatron USA and arranged a visit to our Durham CT location to review the project and see our equipment.
Over the next 8 moths multiple conversations were had between Hashatron USA and CT Social equity as to the best approach to handle their unique situation. The CT Social equity project was to be an all out door grow with a large amount of bio mass to process. The challenged included deciding hot much of the bio mass would be allocated to different process as well as storage and handling.
Upon much back and froth the decision was made to process the entire first years harvest using solventless extraction equipment suppled by Hashatron USA into concentrate form to manufacture edibles in gummy form. The first harvest was performed at the end of summer and an aproxamate 15,000 pounds of flower was harvested and placed into freezers on site to store this bio mass for further processing.
During this period Hashatron USA preformed a walk thru of the post processing site, a former solvent based CBD manufacturing facility ,for the customer and began to lay out their extraction room and all required utilities. For this projects constraints and budget, Hashatron USA has specified a 50 gallon craft series washer with built in pre chill vessel cooled by a 10 ton G&D chiller. Post Processing will be performed using Holland Green Science brand lab equipment.
The extraction process being of solventless nature allowed the customer to easily and quickly obtain approval from the Ct cannabis comity on the approval of this process and equipment. No special infrastructure was needed for the extraction room where this operation will be taking place and training of operators will be much easier than other proposed processes.
Once equipment fabrication is complete in early December We look forward to aiding the customer in beginning implementing the solventless wash process to facilitate fulfilling their customers orders for the 2024 year.
